Water

The “Sphere” charter estimates the minimum levels required for an individual to survive at 15 liters per person in the camps, which includes drinking water, cooking and hygiene, while the acceptable individual need to maintain health and dignity is estimated at 50 liters per person, while many camps suffer from the lack of a source Water and most of the people in the camps are forced to buy water from tanks, which has made water the basic material a burden on the shoulders of the displaced people.
Accordingly, Wefaq Humanitarian works through the water sector projects to support the camp residents with water by providing water free of charge in most cases, and in some places digging artesian wells to provide water for large residential communities. Wefaq also works in some of its projects to build large reservoirs that help ease water transportation to neighboring camps.
